The difference between insane and personality corruption.

Image
It seems with every shooting there is some talking head or legal eagle calling the perpetrator "insane". The circular reasoning goes like this: This act was so evil only someone who was not in their right mind could have done it. Someone did it, so they must not be in their right mind.  I'm not interested in discussing the legal definition and connecting punishment for insanity but to bring up a different thought. Shooters and serial killers are not insane but have what I call personality corruption. The main difference between the two is the connection of cause and effect. Those that are insane do not have the connectivity between a cause and the effect while those with personality corruption do make that connection but twist it. For example, if the the personality corruption person gets sick they may blame and hate their co-workers calling them ungrateful and inconsiderate for making HIM sick. The person who is truly insane would get sick and blame the evil government f...

Interesting take on domestic violence public service announcement

That's the tag line of artist  Saint Hoax 's awareness campaign for domestic violence titled " Happy Never After ." Similar to his first poster series " Pr incest  Diaries ," which promotes awareness of issues of sexual abuse by family members, the objective of "Happy Never After" is to encourage victims of domestic violence to report their attackers. "Disney princess are perceived as ideal females," Hoax told HuffPost in an email. "They belong to a fairytale land where happy ever afters are bound to happen. But what happens after the happy ever after?" The disturbing posters are meant to be exactly that. They show our favorite Disney princesses bruised and bloodied, images that are particularly jarring because they tie the somber topic of domestic vio...

The truth when something is stolen out of your car

https://autos.yahoo.com/news/lapd-ridiculous-answer-auto-theft-leaves-us-speechless-173011449.html David Bridson’s day got off to a bad start on June 18th. “ Wow car window smashed and back pack stolen in broad daylight in front of Rudy’s barbershop in Silver Lake,” he wrote on his Facebook wall, after his stuff was stolen in the central Los Angeles neighborhood. The LAPD’s response made it ten times worse. “Not sure when my last back up was but I just lost a ton of stuff,” David wrote. “Laptop, iPad and all that goes with it.” Admittedly,  David acquiesced to the fact that he’d made a mistake in leaving his backpack in the car, even in broad daylight on a busy street. Then, a few days later, he thought he had what felt like a break in the case. “ Anyone near XXXX south central ave? You could pick up my stolen iPad for me,” he posted on his wall. He’d been able to locate his stolen iPad using the iCloud’s locator function. “ I called the [police] station at 3:45,” David wrote. The ...

A company's gun ban proves too good to be true for assailants.

http://www.inquisitr.com/1343779/targets-gun-ban-proves-to-be-absolute-rubbish-as-assailants-attack-stores-customers/ Three days ago, Target enacted a new policy in which they asked customers to politely leave their guns at home or not bring them on the premises of any Target store. This was probably decided after a  loaded gun  was found in the toy aisle of one of their stores as reported here on  The Inquisitr . Unfortunately, their gun ban policy is proving to be problematic as numerous reports are coming in about Target’s customers getting robbed at gunpoint. According to reports, including one in the  Gainesville Times , Target shoppers at two different stores in Georgia have been robbed by armed assailants since the discount retailer announced the policy on July 2, 2014. Perhaps as a reaction to the robberies, Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder said that there was no ban on guns, and it was just a “request” that the company hoped customers would honor. She said th...

Mug shot goes viral - have we lost our minds?

Have we lost our minds ?? SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A handsome mug shot of a Northern California man arrested on felony weapons charges has gone viral on social media, attracting more than 33,000 "likes" and drawing comments praising his high cheek bones, chiseled face and striking blue eyes.   The issue is one of judgment. There is a great moralist story of the scorpion and the turtle and if you haven't heard it look it up. The moral is - You knew what it was yet you went ahead anyway. Same thing here. Would you talk to this guy? Let him woo and pursue you? Then what....? The comments and such.. just shake my head like this one: Judy 2 minutes ago "Wow, I will save your picture to remember how pretty you look, and I can bet anything you will change to better yourself. I believe in your soul and what you project through your eyes. Chin up don't give up just because you just find yourself in that situation fight back against any negative things. Learn of what this...

Legal action can be an option for parents left without resources or recourse with the school district

Suing is an option for parents left without resources.     Illinois parents have taken legal action against their son's alleged bully, suing a boy and his parents on their son’s behalf. Matthew and Deveri Del Core filed the lawsuit on Tuesday, claiming their son's fellow fourth grader at a Chicago-area elementary school violently bullied their son Joaquin for the entire school year. “It was quite an incident for us to go through in our house, and have our son waking up screaming, not wanting to go to school, and crying and feeling that he wasn't safe,” Deveri Del Core told ABC News of the alleged bullying. The lawsuit accuses the other child of causing permanent and serious injury, including harassment on a weekly basis that included “hitting, punching, choking, elbowing, kicking, pushing, spitting ... threatening to kill him, and tripping him on the stairs," according to court papers, filed in Cook County Circuit Court. “It has been traumatic for my ...
